Jackson is under the impression that whatever he puts on his Christmas list for Santa, he will get. He just has to say it and it is his. We've been explaining to him that they are just ideas and that Santa has fun toys that he knows Jackson will like that might not be on the list. This is what Jackson thought of that:
I think that when you tell Santa what you want he should just say, SURE.
It's kind of like how I hoped that when Y2K happened, it would shut down credit card companies and student loan offices and all debt would be forever erased.

Found your blog through Marketing Mama...and loved this post. We too have had to manage the "Santa List is not an order form" expectations this year. Especially since my middle son was asking for "5 tickets to Arizona and then 5 tickets to a Cardinals game for all of us to go."
