There are days that are easy and there are days that aren't. Today isn't. It's Holy Thursday. It's a whole lot of feelings and worry about a friend whose heart and spirit are broken and another friend and her sick son and flashbacks to when my own son got scary-sick when he was born on Holy Thursday two years ago. Lots of remembering how I wasn't sure he was going to live and it was happening during Holy Week which made the prayers even more powerful and it was absolutely terrifying and holy and sacred. Sacred scared. There are a lot of tears today and reminders to take a real breath.
And then Fed Ex delivered an unexpected package. Crate & Barrel. I hadn't ordered anything.
My amazing sister has made me the proud owner of the Olivia Pope wine glass.
And it arrived at the start of Holy Week
which was a hilarious and totally awesome reminder that indeed:
IT'S HANDLED.
